While my blog has been idle, I have not been to say the least.
Check out the sweetie below. At least half of the snow biking crew that I frequent with is now on or is converting to 9Zero7 (area code of Alaska) bikes from Chain Reaction cycles. This includes endurance specialist and multiple time 24 Afton champ Dan Dittmer who after a first attempt at "trying" the Arrowhead race will be "racing" it this year. Let me say it this way, I work with and ride w/ a bunch of gear-head engineers and all but one of them is on a 9Zero7.
The build below is a full on XX suite w/ Bontrager bits, which enables a complete snow bike to be 26-27 lbf.

Nice...poster. Oh, and the bike as well. I dig the white brake line.
Oops, I meant white der housing. Too bad your bike is not as light as mine, but certainly a good effort:)
I feel left out! Someone needs to tell me what the cool kids are doing so I can keep up.
Is that a Hive crank?
Cody, the cool kids didn't become cool, they are cool. There body is their temple, find your own temple. Brendan is not a personnel trainer, he's an athlete.
Oh, and yes on the crank.
Charly, when I said cool kids I wasn't talking about you.
Cody, neither was I. Neither was I. I strive, but can only dream.
BTW, I was quoting a MN lottery commercial that is too funny (in case you were wondering).
BUilt in excuse, bike too light. YOu best have front brake for hillside. LCR run what got, you take off, opposite game. See how you last in cold with lightweight? Bontrager parts rated for low temps? Check that brake lever... One crash into powder...
What kind of hubs do the cool kids run?
Anony 1: Is that English? All the XX stuff just came of my hardtail, as it wasn't going to get used this winter..."run what got" right?
Anony 2: Simple hub setup: XT rear (offset build) and Surly SS front (non-offset build)
What crankset and bottoms bracket is that Brendan, I think my 9:zero:7 needs to go on a diet....
